Frankfort, Kentucky (March 12, 2025) – Representative Sarge Pollock (R-Campbellsville) was appointed to serve as a member of the Interstate Insurance Compact Legislative Committee.
“I’m honored to represent the state of Kentucky on the Interstate Insurance Compact Legislative Committee and look forward to working with fellow legislators to ensure an effective regulatory process that benefits both customers and insurers,” said Pollock.
The Insurance Compact enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the way insurance products are filed, reviewed, and approved allowing consumers to have faster access to competitive insurance products in an ever-changing global marketplace.
Pollock currently serves as the vice chair of the Kentucky House Standing Committee on Banking and Insurance and has been a strong proponent of policies that safeguard funds in Kentucky’s banks, credit unions, and financial institutions while ensuring state laws effectively regulate the broad range of insurers operating in the Commonwealth.
In addition to serving as vice chair of the House Banking and Insurance Committee, Representative Pollock serves as a member of the Agriculture Committee, Families and Children Committee, the Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee, and as co-chair of the Tobacco Settlement Agreement Fund Oversight Committee. Pollock is also Chair of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators Committee on Health and Long Term Care.
“As vice chair of the Kentucky House’s Committee on Banking and Insurance and an insurance professional who prides himself on customer service, Representative Pollock is a natural to represent the Commonwealth on this national committee,” House Speaker David Osborne added. “I appreciate his willingness to serve and his commitment to shaping future insurance laws and consumer safeguards.”
