Mr. Charles “Chuckie” Hilton, son of the late Mr. James Emmart Hilton and Mrs. Dorothy Louise Cassidy Hilton, was born on Thursday, June 24, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the T. J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. He was 71 years, one month, and eight days of age.
He had made a profession of a deep spiritual life, including laughing, loving, and bringing joy to everyone he met.
Chuck was a musician and started a tour with David, Londa and himself call Oasis in the USO for two tours visiting various countries such as, Spain, Turkey, Korea, Germany, Morocco, and more. They also played in St. Croix between tours.
In 1982 he reformed Oasis with his musical brothers, Mike and Mark, and they played in Florida and Louisville. After retiring his professional music career, he became a salesman for Kenmark Optical for 20 plus years.
Chuck enjoyed nature, simple pleasures, and being surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Barbara Compton Hilton of Greensburg, having united in marriage on December 18, 1984.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Charles Chad Hilton & his wife, Evie of Louisville, with baby Hilton on the way; one brother: Bill Hilton of Florida; a mother-in-law: Judy Craig Compton of Greensburg; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Kathy Hilton of Louisville, Donna & Tim Coffey, and Wayne Jr. & Audra Compton, all of Greensburg; his fur baby: Boo; and two special family members: Mike and Jan Mcdowell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother: Jim Hilton.

Honoring Mr. Charles “Chuckie” Hilton’s wishes, cremation was chosen. A Celebration of his wonderful life will be held at a later date.
