Wayne Thomas Mikel of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Rube Mikel and Catherine Bryant Mikel, was born on March 15, 1948, in Campbellsville, and departed this life on August 13, 2025, at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab in Campbellsville. He was 77 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and had attended the Robinson Creek Baptist Church. He loved his dogs and going camping.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Janet Mills, Darlene Burris, and Louise Lawson, and many other friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Mikel, and nine siblings: Betty Compton, Annette Smothers, Shirley Wise, Dora Mikel, Rena Murphy, Kenneth “Possum” Mikel, Mary Frances Mikel, Guy Douglas Mikel, and Barbara Jean Mikel.
There will be a Graveside Service for Wayne Thomas Mikel on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Robinson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
