Lady Eagles Rally Past Adair County for Road Win

The Campbellsville Lady Eagles used a strong second-half surge to earn a 53–45 road victory over the Adair County Lady Indians on Monday night.

Campbellsville trailed early but stayed within striking distance after the first quarter before turning the momentum after halftime. The Lady Eagles erupted for 17 points in the third quarter, fueled by an 11-point scoring run that erased a double-digit deficit and swung the game in their favor.

Karsyn Smith led the way with 16 points, connecting on 6-of-10 shots from the floor. Alexis Knifley added 14 points, including a pair of three-pointers, while Symone Headspeth provided a strong presence inside with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Campbellsville’s balanced attack and efficiency at the free-throw line proved to be the difference, as the Lady Eagles knocked down 16-of-25 attempts at the stripe. Defensively, Campbellsville limited Adair County to just six points in the second quarter and nine in the fourth, closing the game with a 15–9 edge in the final period.

Despite facing an early deficit, the Lady Eagles maintained composure and finished the night shooting 38.6 percent from the field while outscoring Adair County 32–18 in the second half.
