An update to a developing situation in Adair County—the individual at the center of Monday’s barricade incident on Chestnut Grove Road has died.
According to information from WKYT, the situation began late Monday morning when the suspect allegedly killed three family members, including his mother and aunt, before barricading himself inside a residence.
Authorities have now confirmed the suspect is deceased. However, details surrounding how the suspect died have not yet been released.
Kentucky State Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
