Green County Emergency Management has been notified that a positive identification has been made regarding the body recovered from Big Pitman Creek on May 8, 2026. Authorities have confirmed the deceased individual as Ashley N. Matthews, who had previously been reported missing. The family was notified prior to this release.
The investigation into the cause of death remains ongoing and is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police.
