Mrs. Brenda Kay Callahan was born in Taylor County on June 21, 1960 to the late Robert and Onia (Hoosier) Goode. She departed this life on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at her home in Campbellsville, being 65 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. During her infant years, her father, Mr. Goode, passed away. Her mother would later marry Mr. John Abell, and he would love her and raise her as his own. On February 22, 1980, Brenda married Michael Callahan, and they remained a devoted couple until his passing on September 25, 2016. She was always a kind hearted and gentle person and loved to laugh with friends both old and new. Her natural gift of gab served her well and will be dearly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
A son: Benjamin C. Callahan of Campbellsville,
A sister: Regena Russell and husband Richard of El kHorn,
A niece: Lisa Alexander and husband Lance of Shelbyville,
A special cousin: Robin Boils of Campbellsville,
Her mother-in-law: Gloria Callahan of Campbellsville,
And a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jessie Callahan.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hosparus of Green River for their care and compassion.
