Eva Marie Sallee, age 70, passed away on May 1, 2025, at Liberty Care and Rehabilitation Center in Liberty, Kentucky. Born on January 21st, 1955. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Eva was known for her warmth, creativity, and remarkable ability to make something out of nothing—especially in the kitchen. A self-proclaimed chef and passionate crafter, she found joy in turning the simple into the beautiful, and her talents brought comfort and smiles to many.
Eva is survived by her children: John Sallee of Gravel Switch, KY, Joshua Sallee of Campbellsville, KY, and Heavenly Sallee of Campbellsville, KY; her grandchildren: Joseland Sallee of Chaplin, KY, Lekysha Sallee and Janyla Sallee, both of Bardstown, KY, Kaden Sallee, Austin Porter, and Keyonna Flowers, all of Campbellsville, KY, and Jaxson Sallee of Gravel Switch, KY.
She is also survived by a sister, Ina Gribbins of Campbellsville, KY; a brother, Mark Sallee of Mayesville, OK; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Eva was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Eva Cornish Sallee; her grandson, Kolton Sallee; her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Lanham, Bonnie Varnell, Peggy Curtsinger Hood, and Anna Sallee; and her brothers, Ernest Lee Sallee, Thomas Wesley Sallee, Anthony Ray “Tony” Sallee, and Bill Sallee.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and creativity lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
To honor Ms. Sallee’s wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be no public services at this time. Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville is in charge of arrangements.
