High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Arrest Near Nelson County Line

While conducting speed enforcement on Campbellsville Road, Chief Deputy Ferrie observed a 2012 GMC traveling at a high rate of speed toward Hodgenville. When Deputy Ferrie attempted a traffic stop, the driver — later identified as Joseph Raley — accelerated and attempted to flee.

Raley led officers down Highway 470 toward Bardstown Road, continuing toward New Haven. He then traveled along US 31E, passing several vehicles through Athertonville before being stopped just inside Nelson County.

Raley was taken into custody without incident. Chief Deputy Ferrie was assisted by deputies from both the Larue County and Nelson County Sheriff’s Offices.
