Juanita Berry Dobson

Juanita Carolyn Berry Dobson of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Otha Isaiah Berry and Bertha McCubbins Berry, was born on Thursday, June 10, 1943 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the Green River Trails Nursing Facility in Greensburg. She was 81 years, 9 months, and 14 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Allendale Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survived by her husband of 63 years, Boyce Edward Dobson of Summersville, having united in marriage on April 29, 1961.

Other survivors include a son: Frankie Dobson of Summersville; a daughter-in-law: Tina Dobson of Summersville; two grandchildren: Brennan Dobson and wife, Rachelyn of LaGrange, and Wesley Dobson and wife, Taylor of Summersville; two great-grandchildren: Rylie Dobson and Charlotte Dobson; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Cindy Shelton of Summersville, Martha and Monta Childress of Mt. Sherman, and Betty and Tom Downey of Summersville; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Finis Wayne and Barbara Berry, Jimmy Berry, and Suzy Berry all of Summersville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dobson was also preceded in death by a son: Dwayne Edward Dobson on December 26, 2019; a sister and two brothers: Letha Milby, William Berry, and Otis Eugene Berry; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rita Berry, Maybelle Berry, Leroy Shelton and Billy Milby.

The funeral services for Juanita Carolyn Berry Dobson will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Central Time, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Whitlow Cemetery. Bro. Justin Dial and Bro. Tom Downey officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7:00 A.M., Thursday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Whitlow Cemetery Fund or the Green River Trails Nursing Facility Activity Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
