William E. “Billy” Holland of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Edwin P. Holland and Lovie Cassidy Holland, was born on Tuesday, July 22, 1947 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Green River Trails Nursing Home. He was 78 years, 9 months, and 4 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, attended Ladies Chapel Methodist Church, and worked as a farmer.
He was united in marriage to Marion Gayle Davenport Holland on December 23, 1966, who preceded him in death on April 14, 2024.
He is survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Randy and Karen Davenport of Green County, Genevieve Buckner of Hodgenville; nieces and nephews: Cindy and Roy Phillips, Patty Ann Clark all of Greensburg, Diane and Gary Hiser of Louisville, Kristy and Steve Karnes, Kenny Buckner all of Hodgenville, Erica Coyle of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his son: Michael T. Holland on March 12, 2020.

The funeral service for William E. “Billy” Holland will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Davenport Cemetery. Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis and Bro. Nathan Rayburn officiating.
Visitation is requested from 3:30 P.M., until 8 P.M., Central Time, Thursday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Friday until time of the service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Davenport Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
