William H. “Buster” French, 92, of Campbellsville, passed away at 12:45 P.M., Thursday, April 11, 2024 in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
He was the son of the late Emmett French and Mary Catherine “Cattie” Morris French and was born on August 7, 1931 in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
He professed faith and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church. Buster retired from Fruit of the Loom and farmed throughout the years. He was married to Alberta Sprowles French on January 16, 1954, who preceded him in death September 22, 2012.
Buster is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Annetta and Gary Reynolds of Campbellsville; three grandchildren and their spouses: Miranda Coffey and husband, Richard of Greensburg, Kentucky, Brittany Shuffett and husband, Evan of Guyton, Georgia and Austin Reynolds and wife, Taylor of Campbellsville, Kentucky; eleven great-grandchildren: Gavin Coffey and Carlee Coffey of Greensburg, Kentucky, Brooklyn Shuffett, Kayla Shuffett and Jaida Shuffett of Guyton, Georgia, Selena Gibson of West Virginia, Hunter Reynolds, Jaidan Reynolds, Railyn Reynolds, Zathan Reynolds and Paxton Reynolds of Campbellsville, Kentucky. Also survived by a sister, Mural Gentry of Louisville, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews and an abundance of family and friends.
Buster was also preceded in death by a brother, Hoover French.
